If there is an “all-rounder” profile in the professional field of Social Media and Personal Branding, it is that of Esmeralda Díaz-Aroca .
With 25 years of experience in Marketing, Communication and Sales, including management positions for national and multinational companies, we could never imagine at first glance the beginnings of this outstanding professional.
Esmeralda is a consultant, trainer and speaker for companies and institutions, as well as a postgraduate professor at the Nebrija Business School and the CESMA business school.
He holds a Master's degree in Commercial Management and Marketing from the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid, and a PhD in Biological Sciences, specializing in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Autonomous University of Madrid (incredible, right?).
His leap from the laboratory to Personal Branding is really interesting and admirable, I invite you to read his story.

— How did you decide to specialize in Personal Branding?
My basic experience is very marketing-related, with more than 20 years working as marketing director in different national and multinational companies .
Therefore, my contact with Personal Branding, positioning, promotion and communication is not new. It was not difficult for me to SEE that personal brand management was a necessity.
And in fact I applied it to myself: I started my journey in Personal Branding thanks to my books . In 2006 I launched my first book on paper to the market “ It’s delicious and doesn’t make you fat ” with Alianza Editorial.
My goal was to go as far as possible with it, so I started researching how to do it.
This is how I began to position my personal brand “Esmeralda Díaz-Aroca”, via a blog at the beginning, then on social networks, generating opinion articles, collaborations in magazines, TV programs, generating valuable content not only on the blog.
Also on the Slideshare platform, with just one document I got more than 100,000 views and finally on Amazon. Today my personal brand has more than 70,000 indexed results on Google.
I have been dedicated to Brand Management for myself since 2006 and professionally, that is, carrying out Personal Brand strategies and action plans for other people, since 2009.
