Simon: 10 months.
AJ: So long? What was so hard about it?
Szymon: I think the most difficult stage was the one related to harmonizing the departmental symbols and the next one related to choosing the colors.
Another very important problem was the inclusion of the Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz in the new system. The Collegium Medicum, which has been part of the UMK structure for 10 years, has so far used its own symbols and color code, brazil rcs data which matched the colors of the faculties at UMK.
It seems to me that these are also the greatest advantages of the new system. Everything has been unified and organized in many dimensions, on many levels.
Artur: Isn't this a bit too modern for a university?
Szymon: No. We live in very dynamic times, thousands of pieces of information reach us every day. We need a simple, unified system that the University will use in everyday communication.
Artur: Where is the tradition?!
Szymon: In our case, tradition remains and is included in the new symbol. The previous UMK emblem will not disappear completely, it will only change its role. As a historical value, it will continue to be used on, for example, university seals, the Rector's insignia, dean's chains, important documents, or some elements of the Rector's Office correspondence. It will also not disappear from the facades of historical University buildings, such as Collegium Maius.
Our University is quite young, and it would be inappropriate to compare it in terms of tradition and history to Cambridge, Oxford, or Jagiellonka.
AJ: How long did the work take?
