Avoid mystery meat

Post by sumaiyakhatun26 »

The term "mystery meat" came from the meat found in fast food sold in American schools. It was so highly processed that it was unknown what animal it came from or what its actual composition was.

Why am I talking about this? Because on many websites that use pagination (especially extensive services or newspaper portals) you will find navigation buttons that are not at all obvious. This phenomenon was named and popularized by web designer Vincent Flanders and concerns icons and symbols that are difficult for the recipient to understand.

For example, when creating links to subsequent pages or blog posts, it is much better to use their titles or phrases such as “page 1, page 2, page 3” than unreadable pagnation based on mystery meat navigation (e.g. “<< < | > >>”), lebanon rcs data the meaning of which must be guessed. Remember, words are better than characters, both for Google robots and for your customers. After all, we write for people – not for machines.

Link structure
I see more and more sites with properly constructed addresses. Yet many people complaining about poor search engine results still forget about it. Meanwhile, the URL, like the previously mentioned titles and descriptions, is also text.

So avoid any numbers or unnecessary elements in your links, simplify them so that they inform the user and robots what they will find on the page. Experts recommend avoiding diacritics and writing the link in Latin text.

Individual words should be separated by hyphens or minus signs (-), but it is still readable text. Especially for robots. It is therefore worth including keywords in the link address to further improve its positioning. The same applies to the description of images.
