Last Monday, Apple found itself in the spotlight with some sensational announcements! Apple unveiled its new press access service , offering access to more than 300 magazines and press titles for $9.99/month. This package is far from unanimous, especially among press publishers . The reason is the distribution of revenue. Apple would take 50% of the revenue , which has caused more than one publisher to turn away from this new service . Some believe that this could open a massive breach in their paywall and therefore weaken an economic model that was starting to bear fruit.
