At the presentation, the interpreter started on the second try, but this did not spoil the customer's impression of the program's capabilities. Then the first contract was concluded between the manufacturer MITS and Microsoft.

When Bill Gates founded Microsoft with Paul Allen, personal computers were rare. Gates wanted to make them available to everyone. To make his dream come true, he had to make a difficult decision: leave his studies at Harvard and devote his life to software development.

In 1980, Microsoft entered into an agreement with one ukraine telegram data of the oldest and most respected IT companies in the world. They began developing an operating system for the new IBM personal computer.

The collaboration resulted in the birth of MS-DOS (Microsoft Disk Operating System), which quickly became the standard for PCs around the world. This contract with IBM was a turning point in Microsoft's history. Thanks to Bill Gates' strategic decisions, the company was able to retain the rights to MS-DOS. They later licensed the operating system to other PC manufacturers.
