The biggest mistake cold callers make with voicemails is treating them as mini-pitches. Prospects don't have time for a rambling message filled with features and benefits. Instead, think of a voicemail as a concise, intriguing teaser designed to achieve one primary goal: to make the prospect curious enough to return your call or, at the very least, to be receptive when you call again.

The simplest and most effective CTA for a cold voicemail is to ask them to call you back, and clearly state your number twice. Some also suggest offering to send an email with more information, as it provides a low-pressure alternative.
