It’s no secret that we love podcasts, and we’re not the only ones. Tons of people are getting addicted to podcasts, with more and more listeners joining every year. In 2023, there were 76 million podcast listeners in the US, up from 49 million in 2020. See? People love podcasts! So much so that many are creating their own podcast experiences and becoming hosts!
But our curious minds are buzzing. What is it that draws people in? Why does everyone america phone number list have a podcast? Why are podcasts so popular? We couldn't wait any longer to find out, and now we're sharing what we learned.
Easy access
Raise your hand if you enjoy waiting. extra hours just to complete a simple task. Yep, so do we. So, as you can probably imagine, one of the reasons podcasts are so popular is that they're super quick and easy to access. A few clicks or taps, maybe a swipe or two, and you're done!
We live in a world where instant gratification is the leading factor, and there's no shame in loving podcasts simply for the lack of effort. Thanks to platforms like Apple Podcasts and Spotify, we have access to countless episodes, all for almost free.
