What are Cookies?

Post by bdjakaria76 »

The testing phase of this initiative, which sought to strengthen Google's advertising model while raising data protection standards, began in July 2023. By then, Google had offered developers access to the Privacy Sandbox measurement and relevance APIs, allowing them to test with real-time traffic.

As 2023 drew to a close, developers had the opportunity to experiment with removing third-party cookies on a small group of users . This is just the beginning, as the plan is to completely phase out cookies, completing the process by the end of 2024. This is a significant step toward a new era of privacy and personalization on the web , where user experience and the security of their personal data are placed at the heart of online advertising strategy .

Cookies are small text files that websites send to a user's c level executive list browser and store on their device (computer, mobile phone, tablet, etc.). These files contain information about the user's activity on the site, such as browsing preferences, session data, and other information that the site can use to offer a more personalized and efficient experience.
