This study shows that Scrum is now too slow for large tech companies

My opinion
I also notice that my team completely avoids Scrum. We either use sprints with a maximum duration of 1 week and very short planning as well as 3 jokers (3 tasks can be swapped) and Kanban boards - because we want to deliver as quickly as possible with high quality. My team of employees also independently coordinates the requirements with customers and shows them to the customer (acceptance).

We work a lot in the infrastructure and software sector - similar to teams from tech giants. It is not clear whether Scrum simply does not fit in infrastructure-related topics or whether a few revisions to the Scrum Guide are necessary. Time will tell.

There is criticism of Scrum and even reorganization according to Kanban freight forwarders brokers email lists and other methods. But Scrum can still help to deliver quickly and efficiently.

It shouldn't be very surprising to you. The study also says that a newly founded start-up with five employees will be successful in a different way than a slowly growing non-tech company with 1,000 employees. Even within the group of large non-tech companies, some are experimenting with new approaches, while others are sticking with what has worked well enough for years. For many companies that are not focused on digitalization , working according to Scrum is a form of acceleration. So in the end you should simply look at what is the right method and how can I use it in the right dose!
