Who are the MBA logistics and supply chain management students?

Post by tanjimajuha20 »

To keep up with this market development, has the program evolved?

YD: The program continues to be enriched, while maintaining the same fundamentals. We have thus strengthened the industrial logistics and purchasing dimensions . We have also broadened the areas of activity covered, for example by bringing in both a "carrier" speaker and a "shipper" speaker in transport, by twitter database also addressing strategic aspects with an introduction to insurance or customs techniques... The first year of the MBA is dedicated to the fundamentals, the second is more technical with a common semester, then a specialization in the second semester: either logistics and the Supply Chain, or purchasing.

YD: First of all, it should be noted that girls have invested in the field. This year, there were 1/3 girls in the 2nd year, and ½ in the 1st year: we have achieved perfect parity!

Foreign students are in the majority, and we have made this particularity a real strength. These students have witnessed, actively or not, the particularities of the logistics professions in their respective countries. They thus bring a new perspective, problems, good practices, and share them with their classmates. Once graduated, some return to their country, others make their knowledge of a specific professional culture available to French or European companies. This is a real strength for their future employer.

What positions do these young graduates access?

YD: Many positions are open to them, increasingly important in the strategy of companies. With the COVID crisis, companies want to be able to "predict the unpredictable", plan demand... In addition, functions related to purchasing are increasingly offered: the priority for companies is no longer to buy cheaper but to manage risk. To do this, they are looking for high-level graduates, and entrust them with a role of "super project manager", capable of taking into account all the parameters of a situation.

This year, ¼ of the second-year students had already received a job offer before the summer, work-study students were offered a permanent contract, some companies wanted to immediately hire students still in training... After their defense at the start of the school year, all our young graduates will be in high demand!
