5 MYTHS ABOUT YOUTUBE

Post by asimd23 »

YouTube, once Google's darling and the bête noire of the entertainment industry, has generated multiple myths and legends regarding its content and its uses.

The Biz Blog has published the five myths, or rather the bank data erroneous beliefs regarding the video-sharing site that are circulating on the Internet and extending beyond it.

The first fallacy is to think that YouTube is limited to user-generated content and that most of its videos are short, when the productions of many channels are broadcast through this system and often constitute the best advertising platform.

The second prejudice , which is quite widespread, is to believe that all the videos are pixelated and of low quality, since the portal has more short videos with HD technology than any of its peers and, according to CNET , it is the best internet service for this type of format.

The third myth is that increasing traffic and content is bad for the portal, since the company claims to have a business model that is different from traditional ones and knows the limits of what they can offer without going bankrupt.

The fourth myth is that advertisers are afraid of this platform, as in 2008, 70% of advertisers uploaded campaigns to the portal, which offers them control and unlimited availability at no cost.

The fifth fallacy is disputed and consists of thinking that the platform only monetizes between 3% and 5% of the site, something that the company disputes without clarifying where the income comes from.
