Russian IT company Perviy Bit conducted a study among more than 60 enterprises of the agro-industrial complex (AIC), half of which have a staff of more than 1,000 people, on the subject of digitalization of the industry. The study was presented at the site of the international agro-industrial exhibition Agrovolga in Kazan by the curator of the AIC direction of Perviy Bit LLC Kirill Vorobyov.

Kirill Vorobyov said that 85.7% of surveyed companies expect digitalization to reduce the number of manual operations, and more than half of the companies (52.4%) hope for an increase in profits.

However, this is only possible with a deep understanding of the system's operation and the desired distribution of costs. It is important to remember that the AIC is often a deferred release of products. Collection and distribution of costs require attention and understanding of the process. Regulated accounting itself is not difficult to automate. If production and RRI are correctly configured, it will work like clockwork," said Kirill Vorobyov.

Pavel Konev, IT Director of Dostavka Morem LLC (an export holding company), noted that, according to the company's data, less than a third of farmers use digital business tools such as digital platforms, commodity exchanges, and electronic buyer trading platforms.

"More than half of farmers in Russia do not use and do not plan to use digital platforms in the foreseeable future. This trend can be associated with the need to adapt business to new tools. Unstable access to the Internet and e-commerce infrastructure can also be limitations," noted Pavel Konev.
