Transportation is one of the first things you learn in English, so you probably already have at least some vocabulary related to it. Knowing the basic vocabulary is very important, but as you go up a level, you'll need a bit more than that if you want to describe a trip in detail and naturally. With transportation like the subway, different names are used in different areas, so be mindful of who you're talking to when choosing your word. If you're speaking English in Madrid or Paris, you can easily say " metro stations ," but if you're in London, you'll need to say " underground " or " tube ." In New York, it's known as " subway ," and there are other areas where it's called differently.
