the framework of the municipal program "Prevention of crimes and strengthening of interethnic and interfaith harmony", and is planned to be integrated into the "Safe City" APK, which is being implemented by the regional government. This was reported by the press service of the city administration.
a video surveillance system. The jordan whatsapp number database winner was the Russian developer Sitronics Group. About 700 million rubles were allocated for the implementation of the project. It will be implemented from 2023 to the first quarter of 2025 in two stages.
The first stage includes the acquisition of computing resources and data storage systems, deployment of a video surveillance system with situational analytics, and analytics for recognizing state registration plates of vehicles. The video surveillance system equipment will be installed in the data processing center of the Norilsk city administration. Also, at the first stage, up to 500 existing video streams from all areas of Norilsk will be entered.
The second stage of the project includes the creation of a backbone data transmission network in all areas of Norilsk and the village of Snezhnogorsk, as well as the installation of more than 350 high-resolution video cameras.
As of the end of November 2023, the first stage of the creation of a comprehensive automated video surveillance system is being completed.
According to Pavel Surikhin, Head of the Information Technology and Communications Department of the Norilsk City Administration, the data processing center collects disparate video streams from video cameras installed in Norilsk and its districts. 500 existing video cameras have already been entered into the system and are being actively used in test mode. The data storage system has a memory capacity of about 400 terabytes (0.4 petabytes) and allows storing video material in good quality from all cameras for at least 30 days. As part of the comprehensive plan for the socio-economic development of Norilsk until 2035, it is planned to connect up to 10 thousand cameras to the comprehensive automated video surveillance system.
The integrated automated video surveillance system will use video analytics technology with artificial intelligence, allowing it to recognize various scenarios of the situation within the surveillance perimeter: crossing lines, detecting crowds, counting their number, detecting abandoned objects. The system will also recognize state registration plates of cars and biometric facial templates.
Modern video analytics will ensure prompt response of emergency and city services to events in the area of security and city life.
"We have transferred the images from the cameras to the existing workstations of all operational dispatching and security agencies of the city: the Norilsk Unified Dispatch Service, Norilskavtodor, the Housing and Utilities Department, the Department of Ecology and Comprehensive Maintenance of Territories, the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the city of Norilsk and other departments. They actively use them to monitor and control the situation. As a rule, after the implementation of such systems, there is a decrease in crime in the covered territories," Pavel Surikhin emphasized.
According to him, the integrated automated video surveillance system helps control contractors' snow and garbage removal, promptly respond to or prevent violations committed in public spaces and city roads. The cameras also "monitor" heated bus stops, the airport, and places where citizens gather in large numbers.
"Next year, as part of the project, more than 350 cameras will be installed. They will be installed at all major intersections in Norilsk and in squares where mass events are held," said the head of the IT and communications department.
He also added that the system is currently operating in test mode, and the final setup of the system is underway. The project being implemented is currently the largest telecommunications project in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. All equipment and software are Russian-made. From January 1, 2024, all installed cameras will be fully commissioned.
