The project involves the use of stationary and panoramic controlled video cameras. High resolution, wide viewing angle and adjustable optical zoom of the devices will allow obtaining clear, detailed images. The devices will be connected in stages, as communications are ready.
The video data transmission service will be provided using a cost-effective service model for the customer, where Rostelecom provides a ready-made comprehensive IT solution. The company invests in the project, and the region receives the service with monthly payments. This scheme allows the client to avoid capital expenditures on creating infrastructure, save on supporting network equipment, and not bear costs for non-core activities.
There are over 4,000 cameras in the Safe City APCS of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, and over 1,200 devices have been integrated by Rostelecom.
