Every eighth Russian (13%) is sure that he or she is addicted to gadgets and the Internet; 45% report signs of this addiction (in 2021, their share was 42%). Fewer people have begun to consciously take a break from smartphones.

More than a third of Russians said that they try to take a break from gadgets and the Internet from time to time: every sixth respondent (15%) consciously refuses them for several hours daily, every tenth does it several times a week, 8% - several times a year. 5% of respondents said that they arrange a digital detox several times a year, and 1% - once every few years.

Some respondents who do not take a break from gadgets say that they cannot afford to be without communication. Some who refused to organize a digital detox perceive gadgets and the Internet as a natural habitat.

Analysts note that Russians' digital dependence is growing: 42% of respondents admitted this in 2021. The number of those who cannot or do not want to take a break from gadgets has also increased from 54 to 61% in two years.
