How to optimize your project time tracking

Post by asimd23 »

Many service providers know and fear it: project time tracking. Tracking time is unpopular and in most cases is not carried out as meticulously as it perhaps should be. The motto here is "time is money"! Designers, architects and agencies know this problem and sometimes find it difficult to remedy it.

Problems with project time recording
You may know the situation: the working day is france rcs data over and you haven't recorded a single project time. Then you just make an estimate again - a rough estimate, per project and per customer. Often, however, this only happens days later, which greatly distorts the actual time required. This means valuable time is lost, and therefore money that the company would actually be earning.

There are certain activities that are very often not included in project time recording. This was discovered by a study from the USA . According to the study, the following points are very time-consuming, but are usually not charged to customers:

Emails
The study found that emails are tracked little to not at all. An employee spends about 2.5 hours a day reading and responding to customer-related emails. This means that, based on an hourly rate of €100, around €35,000 is lost annually.
