As soon as I saw this feature, we immediately started testing it in the company (like any new thing, we are curious).
It seems like a perfect solution for managing your budget and in fact you would think that from now on all campaigns would have to be set up exclusively this way, right?
Untruth.
As with everything related to Facebook ads, a lot depends on the situation. My turkey rcs data tests so far allow me to draw the following conclusions:
Budget optimization at the campaign level will not disable all ad sets
If you dream of setting up a dozen or so ad sets, throwing in a few hundred zlotys, and Facebook leaving the winner on the field of glory, I have to disappoint you.
Facebook will spend money on several sets of similar costs. It only gets rid of the extreme values, such as those where a click is several hundred percent more expensive.
Take a look at this situation. In a campaign for page likes, Facebook left several sets in which the result cost two or three times as much as in the most effective one. Only manual disabling worked. So... exactly the same action as in standardly set campaigns.
When is it worth using budget optimization at the campaign level?
