Seven years ago, when Jan Koum developed an instant messaging app for the iPhone called WhatsApp, no one could have imagined that it would eventually become an indispensable tool for most smartphone users around the world. What started out as a simple alternative for exchanging texts over the Internet has quickly evolved into a complete application that allows users to exchange photos, videos and documents in an agile, simple and free way, as well as create groups and make both voice and video calls.
With all these features, it is not surprising that WhatsApp is no longer used only on a personal level, but also has a significant rcs data pakistan in the working world. What perhaps no one expected was that it would become a platform for contacting companies and looking for a job, but that is the case. A recent study published by Adecco and its Foundation shows that 7 out of 10 Spaniards believe that WhatsApp is a good tool for looking for a job and/or contacting companies and recruiters. However, only 19% admit to having used it for this purpose, although everything seems to indicate that in the future this percentage will increase, since 78% of those interviewed think so.
Among those who have used WhatsApp for job-related issues, 53% say they have done so to obtain further information about a job offer and 52% to introduce themselves to a company and offer their contact details for future selection processes. The study also reveals that 16% have used it at some point to change the time of a job interview that had already been arranged and 11% to cancel it.
Those who have not yet used WhatsApp to look for a job believe that they would use it to obtain more information about a job offer (60%) or to introduce themselves to a company where they would like to work (60%). In fact, 44% of those surveyed admit that, if they could get the phone number of an HR manager, they would send them a WhatsApp to introduce themselves.
