Lack of education and laziness are the two main causes of litter being left on the streets, as demonstrated by a study carried out by the Spanish Confederation of Consumer and User Cooperatives (HISPACOOP) , the Packaging and Society Platform and Eroski Consumer in collaboration with the international consultancy firm Kreab .
