In car keys and web interfaces, we encounter the same problem

Just as every car manufacturer insists on making its own remote controls in an arbitrary way, those who design the interfaces of digital products often forget the end user. The interface of these two products often does not correspond to the simple, obvious, clear needs of users.

What are the most common design and usability errors , both in the design of some of the key features of band objects and in that of web interfaces such as sites and apps?

Let's see 5 of them:

Opposite function, similar design: confusing icons on the buttons

UI Error 1: Pictograms too similar on the remote control
Too similar pictograms on the remote control
In car keys, the Open button and the Close button are almost identical to the touch . The only difference is the position: one above, one below. They can be distinguished visually only by the drawing of an open and a closed padlock.
Well, they can be distinguished… the two pictograms have a 98% identical shape . Can we do better? I would venture this:

Solution to the first User Interface error for car keys
Pictogram with visibly open, full and empty hook. Toggle and bipolar switches.
open and closed padlock, opposites with full and empty

hook visibly open

Another option that shouldn't be ruled out is a bipolar switch instead of a button. A physical lever that is in the open or closed position. It's also done in digital interfaces (see iOS on/off toggle ).
