Actually, it was a perfect opportunity for "Deville": The SRF satire show could have addressed the Federal Council's new, drastic Corona measures on Sunday evening. What are Dominic Deville and his team making of the mask-wearing regulations and the home office recommendations that will apply from midnight? Bad jokes? Are they poking fun at the Federal Council or the Swiss cantonal spirit?
But anyone who tuned in to "Deville" last Sunday china rcs data with high expectations was disappointed. The whole show was about Olten. About Olten! Instead of a current program, SRF simply ran a pre-production at 9:40 p.m. on what could be the most important campfire moment since March.
The program about Olten was recorded eight days before broadcast. (Images: Screenshots SRF)

A satirical program that examines current political events critically and with intelligent humor is part of the core mission of the public service. One that has to pre-record two or three monothematic special programs per season for cost reasons (as is planned for the current season) can no longer fulfill this requirement.
