Startups have become major employers in recent years. On average, a startup currently has 21 employees. And even after the outbreak of the Corona crisis and the interim lockdown, only 6 percent expect the number of employees to decline in the current year, while the clear majority of 57 percent expect the number of employees to continue to rise.
This is the result of surveys commissioned by the digital association Bitkom, for which 206 startups were surveyed in February and March and a further 112 startups in May and June. "The idea of a startup as a one- or two-person business in the basement at home has absolutely nothing to do with reality.
This statement was also confirmed to the editors iran gambling data of Digital-Smartness.de by the Coworking Space Berlin. As the Coworking Space Berlin told us, their clientele is less start-ups and more solo self-employed people and digital nomads.
Role of StartUps as Employers
Startups are important employers that create highly qualified jobs, especially for software developers, but also in all other areas such as marketing or sales," says Bitkom President Achim Berg. "Especially in startup hotspots such as Berlin, Munich, Hamburg or even Cologne and Frankfurt, startups play an important role for the entire economy."
Four out of ten startups (43 percent) currently have fewer than ten employees, but around one in four (23 percent) have 20 or more. And many startups would like to continue hiring - despite the Corona crisis. While almost two-thirds (63 percent) stated at the beginning of the year that they had vacancies, this number has barely fallen during the Corona crisis, at 49 percent.
