We regret to inform you

"Unfortunately, we have to inform you..." - we have all received letters like this in our lives. Be it for an apartment, a job, a large financial transaction. And we have all learned to live with it. Often another solution was found, sometimes not.
Now media companies also have the right to send such letters. And it can affect TV favourites who find it difficult to deal with. And also viewers who will miss them.
This has recently affected a number of japan rcs data formats after 10 p.m. in German-speaking Switzerland. "Aeschbacher," "Nachtwach," and now "Schawinski" ... One may regret it, but it is the right of the station managers to design the program in the way they consider optimal. The work can no longer be done if every decision is met with an avalanche of protests.
And: The problem is not the decision of the public broadcasters. The problem lies in the Swiss TV scene. More than 30 years ago, they failed to create real competition. And this in one of the richest countries in the world.
