The control center for AdWords will soon be visually and functionally updated. As Google announced in its Inside AdWords blog, the AdWords accounts will get a new look and - perhaps more importantly - the user navigation within the accounts will be improved.

The help function, account settings and invoice creation should be moved under the "gear symbol". Tables, graphics and tools should be given more space on the pages. The rollout is set to take place in the next few weeks and we are definitely very excited. Once you have selected the information that is most relevant to the performance of your campaigns from the wealth of information provided by AdWords, you can certainly live with the current status. However, further development towards more consistency and simplicity ("the important things at a glance") certainly can't hurt. Google promises "less scrolling and more campaign optimization" in its blog. And that is certainly a good approach.
