IT leaders at a crossroads: It's time to demand more from suppliers

The business world is accelerating. The longer IT leaders wait for vendors to meet their needs, the more their businesses and careers are at risk, writes Renuka Nadkarni, chief product officer at Aryaka, on Network Computing.

In a post-pandemic world, not only are IT leaders’ jobs more challenging than ever, but the challenges they face on a daily basis are growing at an incredible rate. It’s only logical that in this situation, and with the system many of them are accustomed to being broken, there will be major changes in how IT leaders do their jobs.

We recently surveyed 230 global CIOs—those who bangladesh mobile database key IT purchasing decisions—and found that they are increasingly investing in cloud services. In fact, 98% of CIOs said they plan to increase their reliance on and investment in cloud services. At the same time, 98% said hybrid work has increased the need for new networking and security solutions, with 97% requiring hybrid work capabilities immediately or within the next 12 months.

Outdated providers would have you believe that the return to the office is the number one reason for employee productivity declines. Whether that’s true or not, it’s an indication that they’re ill-prepared for the changes that have taken place in the corporate environment. Regardless of where employees work, businesses need easy-to-use, scalable, flexible, reliable, secure network connectivity and cybersecurity systems, as well as excellent customer support, to run a successful business.
