Around the world and in Russia, 2020 was a year of unprecedented changes for businesses. The onset of the pandemic brought with it an urgent need to accelerate digital transformation, especially to support remote work. In a matter of days, companies had to modernize their current infrastructure and equip employees with tools to work from anywhere.

At the heart of this transformation is data, and the need to analyze it and secure access to corporate information. IDC predicts that by 2025, due to investments in new emerging technologies, the volume of data in the world will grow to 175 zettabytes. Entering the “decade of data” means that corporate data storage is becoming a critical aspect for companies.

According to a report by IDC published on March 11, in the last belize whatsapp data of last year, the external storage systems market volume sold by OEMs amounted to $7.8 billion, which is 2.2% less than a year earlier. At the same time, the total capacity of supplied storage systems increased by 11.3% to 23.8 exabytes. For the whole of 2020, external storage systems sales decreased by 4%.

The data storage market showed growth in monetary terms, but slightly decreased in terms of delivered capacities. Despite the negative external background, customers continued to invest in high-performance and cost-effective data storage systems to ensure business continuity and scalability of applications and infrastructures. The corporate segment, in particular the financial and telecommunications sectors, traditionally leads the growth.
