Open the Settings app from the Start menu and select Bluetooth & Devices on the left.




Select the printer you want to rename by clicking on it, for example in our case "Microsoft Print To PDF".


On the next page, click Printer Properties.


When the Printer Properties dialog box appears, click the Change Properties button.


Now you can simply type a new name, such as "Printer 1", where iran telegram data the default printer name is displayed next to the printer icon, and click OK.


Return to the Printers & Scanners page in the Settings app, and you'll see that the printer now appears under a new name.


Using the command line
If you are familiar with the command line, you can use it to rename the printer.

Open the Start menu, type cmdand click Run as administrator.


Now type cscript %WINDIR%\System32\Printing_Admin_Scripts\en-US\prncnfg.vbs -x -p "CurrentPrinterName" -z "NewPrinterName"in the command prompt window. Replace “CurrentPrinterName” with the name of your printer and “NewPrinterName” with the name you want to assign.
