Dsease but we appreciate the gentler more realistic look depicted here. Q – Well it’s no secret that the original version didn’t have the best depiction of therapy. The couples therapy sessions that Betty Jennifer Beals and Tina Laurel Holloman attended were often embarrassing at best and straight-up "wait what about this" at worst. But in the sequel series the former couple's daughter Angie Jordan Hull proves she has a higher emotional intelligence than her moms.

At first her mums insisted she needed to wait until she was 18 - a promise they made to the donor - but things took a turn for the worse when Angie underwent type testing and discovered her half-sister's identity.

As if deciding whether to meet the donor wasn't difficult enough Angie grapples with the fact that the donor is terminally ill. She might never see him again. Or she could save him by donating one of her kidneys. Obviously this caused a lot of anxiety Angie experienced panic attacks and depressive episodes but she also had the wherewithal to seek the treatment she needed. We don't often see characters like this let alone teenagers defending themselves like this or having the support of their families.
