Let's take the example of a person who is visually impaired from birth : he certainly has his screen reader installed on his computer or smartphone for a long time and will have been using it for a long time. He will have set the reading speed and the interaction with this tool to make it as efficient as possible for him.

A plugin that intervenes on a cyprus mobile phone numbers site with a screen reader, replaces or overlaps the one in use by the visually impaired: therefore the plugin instead of generating a solution, generates a problem!

Have you ever tried to lend your car to someone else who changes the seat adjustment? How do you feel when you get back into your car and find it moved? Annoyance, frustration, discomfort.

Finding the right seat position is a matter of a few minutes and a few kilometers. For a visually impaired person, finding a screen reader that “speaks over” or replaces their own means not being able to navigate the site.

Using plugins, overlays and apps is not a problem as long as they are integrated with more broad-spectrum and thoughtful solutions. A plugin for automatically adjusting the color contrast or transposing the site to black and white, or that allows you to enlarge the screen is a great tool.
At the same time, however, we must implement all the other WCAG guidelines .
