You can upload a list of your own customers, subscribers, or users to Facebook. Facebook cross-references the email addresses you provide with its database and creates a custom audience made up of people on your list who also used that same email address to sign up for a Facebook account. From there, you can target your ads only to this group. This customer data is verified before uploading, so Facebook never sees it. It only allows you to segment your audience. Once uploaded, you can't see who is in the audience.
Even better, type from your custom audiences. Facebook will examine all the profile data of the people in your custom audience and create a new list of Facebook users who share home owner data similar interests and demographics. This is a great shortcut and a "safe bet" when it comes to optimizing campaign targeting. Lookalikes are typically the type of targeting that yields the best results in all the campaigns we've run.

You'll need to prepare in advance:
Access to your customer lists (email addresses or phone numbers). This is typically found in a CRM system like MailChimp or an e-commerce system like SIn the left column, open the drop-down menu and select Audiences.
