Post by tanjimajuha20 »

For 11 years, Georges CASTEL, Director of the Trading-Finance Department of ESLSCA , has been organizing a study trip to London with his MBA Trading - Market Finance students , 30th class of 2018, in order to promote professional meetings with alumni of the program and to visit emblematic places. This MBA, ranked 5th training (out of 25 ranked in France) in the Market Finance and Portfolio Management specialty by Eduniversal again in 2018, covers architect database the different knowledge in international stock market and financial techniques with a trading room equipped with BLOOMBERG. 3rd school with Dauphine (which has 3 Masters ranked in the top 5) and ESSEC, the training focuses on the skills needed to work on different media, different types of markets and to prepare for future professional issues, both from a Front Office and Compliance point of view.

to learn on the job the specificities of their future profession. The 60 students present in London had the opportunity to visit Bloomberg's new premises in the City of London. The students followed a demonstration on the use of Bloomberg software as well as some of its functionalities in a classroom within the premises. After a group lunch, the students visited the premises of Market Securities also located in New York, Paris, Dubai (ESLSCA alumni work on the 4 sites). One of the 4 associate directors and founders of Market Securities is a former student of the ESLSCA TRADING Center . The students were able to discuss on site in the trading room with the brokers (including some former students of the School) on the job of a Broker in London and their activity during their day. The evening was the Gala Dinner at the Bloomsbury House of London. There, the students attended the speech of Georges Castel and some of his former students.

On the second day, the students visited the Bovespa (Brazilian Stock Exchange in London) thanks to our professor Didier Voinchet and then attended the speech by Sergio Gullo, CEO of Bovespa London. Then the students visited the huge Trading Room Tradition Financial Services TFS, thanks to a former student of the 2009 class, Senior Sales Energy at TFS. And finally, the students went to visit the LME (London Metal Exchange) for the end of the Friday session (the most hectic moment) on the only open outcry exchange in Europe, which is always very impressive for the students who were able to see the Market Makers and Brokers working on the "pit" floor. Very noisy, active and impressive spectacle of the open outcry market. The students of the ESLSCA TRADING Pole were delighted to meet all these personalities from the City who provided them with valuable professional contacts.
