Just as if keywords in title made no difference at all. The correlation calculated for using exact keyword match in the title was 0.003. While allowing for separate words increased the correlation to 0.

007, which is still terribly insignificant. This is to summarize the 5 big reasons why the keyword in the title is not important: SearchMetric studies indicate that it doesn’t matter. Brian Dean's data indicates that it doesn't matter.

SEMRush data indicates that it doctor phone number list doesn't matter. Ahrefs analyst says it probably doesn't matter. My data indicates that it doesn't matter. The combination of all these indications should suggest that the keyword in the title is not a very important SEO initiative.

If it is a ranking factor, the amount of statistical noise and the tiny effects clearly demonstrate that it is at best unimportant. Yet, 99% of SEOs I meet still say that the keyword in the title is important.

Also, SEO specialists usually want me to defend and justify my opinion, which I will gladly do. It seems strange that believing that the keyword in the title is not important is still a controversial opinion in 2018.
