The Association for Electronic Commerce and Relational Marketing (AECEM), with the support of the Red.es observatory, has presented this morning the White Paper on Electronic Commerce, a document that was created with the aim of supporting all those SMEs and micro-SMEs that want to start, or have already started but are in an initial stage of their development, selling through the online channel.
The event was attended by Gonzalo Díez, Director mint data of Planning and External Relations at Red.es; Martí Manent, President of AECEM; and Eduardo Berrocal, Vice President of AECEM.
The President of the AECEM has expressed his pride in the book, as it is a project that they have been working on for some time and which has now been made a reality. As Martí Manent commented, "Internet has grown a lot and very quickly in recent years, especially during this time of crisis, as merchants have seen a possible solution to alleviate the effects of the economic recession we are in, however, Internet cannot stop the fall in sales in the physical world." However, Manent has expressed optimism with the figures for electronic commerce, as it is predicted that Internet sales will reach 10 billion this year in Spain, which will represent a growth of 56 percent compared to the 6.4 billion in 2008.
