In the case of e-commerce sites, product pages and purchase pages are often created on different domains, so using cross-domain tracking makes it possible to obtain accurate data.

What happens if you don’t use cross-domain tracking on your subdomains?
If you do not configure cross-domain tracking on the subdomain, Google Analytics will assume that the domain and subdomain are different. In that case, you will not be able to see the linked information between the two domains. Also, there will be an issue with the request URL being the same.
