In the documents of the ICC "Oil and Gas, Petrochemicals and Subsoil Use", the names of the overwhelming majority of projects begin with the words "Revision and Implementation", clearly indicating that the ICC participants brought to it finished or at least long-started digital projects.
"I have a feeling that the oilmen are acting according to the scheme "your order began to be executed even before it was received". They brought to the ICC ready-made projects that they launched years ago, and reported to the Russian government about the great work done," the commercial director of one of the independent IT companies said on the sidelines of the demo day.
"Russian oil and gas companies bulgaria whatsapp resource embarked on the path of digital transformation back in 2015-2017, so it is not surprising that each of them has digital products at a high level of readiness. And it would be strange not to use this reserve in a situation where Western vendors of specialized industrial software have left the Russian market," opposes the manager of the digital block of one of the oil companies participating in the ICC.
"Each VINK (vertically integrated oil and gas company - ComNews note ) created digital products for itself, based on corporate business processes and technological processes, as well as its existing information systems and system-wide software. In order for the same product to work for a competitor, it may need to be changed, comparable in terms of time and money to writing a new solution from scratch," says the CEO of a large Russian company developing custom software products.
All 28 projects of the ICC "Oil and Gas, Petrochemistry and Subsoil Use" are implemented by oil companies that are part of it, and independent developers were unable to receive orders for these products. The only exceptions are Rock Flow Dynamics LLC, which is a partner in two Tatneft projects ("T-Navigator. Geology Designer" and "T-Navigator. Network Designer"), and Tsifra LLC, as a co-owner of the aforementioned Digital Industrial Platform LLC.
"We did not ask the state for money, so we are free to decide who to entrust the ICC projects to," a representative of PAO Gazprom told the correspondent. "The business of our companies is very complex, and we and our subsidiary IT companies, like no one else, understand its nuances. Third-party developers will spend years just to understand the basics of this business and our needs," the manager of PAO Transneft continued.
A representative of Gazprom Neft named the implementation of its own developments in business processes as one of the four main points of the company's technical policy for the main types of engineering software. He explained: "This technical policy is aimed at optimization, supporting import substitution and synchronizing vendor solutions with Gazprom Neft's own digital developments."
At the ICC demo day "Oil and Gas, Petrochemistry and Subsoil Use", representatives of independent IT developers and startups spoke, publicly calling on oil and gas companies to pay attention to them.
"Our data management platform is cross-industrial. It works in metallurgy, in the chemical industry - and we really want to get into oil and gas," said Oleg Nemchenko, COO and co-founder of Simple Company LLC (Simpl).
