We could distinguish the main types of copywriting as follows:

1) Direct response copywriting
Direct response copy uses persuasive writing techniques to elicit an immediate reaction from the public.
It can be found both online and offline.
It encompasses the techniques devised by the first advertisers who malta phone number list to give power to words, such as Claude Hopkins.
He is said to have been such a good copywriter that back in 1917 his boss gave him blank cheques so that he could choose his own salary.

Another of the great precursors of this type of copywriting was David Ogilvy, the father of modern advertising.

Among his many achievements are the creation of one of the most successful creative agencies in history (which still bears his name today) and the publication of two of the best copywriting manuals, Ogilvy and Advertising and Confessions of an Advertising Man.
This is the first advertisement that Ogilvy wrote as head of his own agency in 1950. The idea is very simple and easy to find in today's content marketing field, but at the time it was a revolution.
Ogilvy and his copywriter Peter Geer created a guide to 9 different varieties of oysters.
All of them included references to Guinness, but they did so in a natural way.
Although the media has changed, many of the techniques used today remain the same.

It is worth adding that the digital version of direct response copywriting is known as "web copywriting."
Through its texts, it makes sure that your audience takes actions such as downloading your product, subscribing to your newsletters or requesting a quote.

2) Creative Copywriting
Also known as creative copywriter, this is usually associated with advertising agencies.
Its mission is to position a brand in the market, elevate it as a benchmark in its sector and maintain its impeccable reputation, both in the digital and analogue spheres.
